Built by a CEO, for CEOs

“I wished this existed two startups ago. Getting revenue right to the penny shouldn’t take a finance team days in Excel.”

Aaron Lee, founder. Former CEO of Smith.ai. Former CTO of The Home Depot. Co-founder and CTO of Redbeacon.

Every month I waited for a spreadsheet to tell me what had already happened. SpawnLoop is the revenue view I wanted on Monday morning: what moved, why, and who to call.

For the people who read footnotes

Why the numbers hold up.

Your controller will ask. Here are the answers.

Every invoice line, understood

  • Each line maps to its product, even when plans and prices change. Old plans roll up into today’s product.
  • Recurring (MRR), usage and one-time revenue are classified separately, with prorations kept apart.
  • Refunds attach to the invoice they reverse. Prepaid multi-month invoices spread across the months they cover.
  • Internal, test and spam accounts are excluded. Salesforce adds vertical and sub-vertical.

Revenue terms with one precise meaning

  • GAAP revenue under ASC 606, kept separate from billed revenue.
  • New, expansion, contraction, free-to-paid, reactivated and churned MRR reconcile month over month.
  • NRR and GRR on a strict opening cohort, so GRR can never exceed 100%.
  • Logo churn and revenue churn kept apart. A product churn is never mistaken for a lost customer.

How the AI stays honest

  • It chooses from a registered catalog of measures and filters. It never writes free-form SQL.
  • Every request is checked before it runs. Results arrive as exact figures the model can’t alter.
  • Ambiguous or unsafe questions get a clear “can’t answer”, with a reason.
  • Hypotheses in the monthly report are labelled, and kept apart from the evidence.

Security and access

  • Stripe asks you to approve read-only access to invoices, refunds and subscriptions. Uninstall any time.
  • The AI never sees raw invoices, SQL, emails or contact details.
  • Your account’s data scope is enforced on the server on every query, never chosen by the model.
  • Each answer says which month it covers and when the data was last rebuilt.
